For years, the 100,000 members of our community have asked me the same questions before a trip. Where should we stay? What shouldn’t we miss? Where are the real artisans, not the souvenir shops?
The first question is the one I take most seriously. I studied at Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, so I judge a place to stay the way a hotelier does: how you’re welcomed, how a room is kept, and the small details most guests never notice.
